Offer Terms

These Offer Terms govern the published commercial offers Crash Lab makes on this website and in its marketing materials. They are separate from our Terms of Service (which govern use of the website) and from the written service agreement you sign at the time of drop-off (which governs the repair itself). Where these Offer Terms conflict with a written service agreement, the service agreement controls.

5% Beat Guarantee

The promise: We will beat any legitimate competing written estimate by 5% on a comparable scope of work, on the initial repair only.

What qualifies as a valid competing estimate

  • Written and itemized (not a verbal quote)
  • Issued by a California-licensed collision repair shop within the last 30 days
  • Covers the same repair scope as ours — same parts sourcing tier (OEM vs aftermarket), same calibration, same paint quality, same warranty terms
  • Not a promotional or member-only rate tied to a referral network the customer isn't part of

How to claim it

Bring the competing estimate to your intake appointment. We'll review it for scope equivalence. If it's apples-to-apples and meets the criteria above, we adjust our initial-scope price to 5% below that estimate.

Applies to initial scope only

The 5% discount applies to the initial repair scope only. Most collision repairs require teardown (removing the bumper cover, fender, or other panels) to inspect for damage hidden beneath the visible areas. Any additional work discovered during teardown, and any supplements written to your insurer for hidden damage, OEM parts, calibration, or other items not in the original competing estimate, are priced at our standard rates. The 5% beat does not extend to supplemental work.

Exclusions

  • Estimates that skip OEM parts, ADAS calibration, or structural procedures required by the manufacturer (those aren't apples-to-apples)
  • Insurance-internal DRP rates that are contractually discounted and not available to non-DRP shops
  • Online or AI-generated estimates from sites that haven't physically inspected the vehicle
  • Estimates older than 30 days
  • Any work performed after teardown or discovered during supplement review

What we don't do

Beat estimates by cutting corners. If the competing estimate is low because it's missing steps, we won't match the skipped work — we'll tell you what's missing and why.

Right to decline

Crash Lab reserves the right to decline to honor this guarantee at our sole discretion, including (but not limited to) situations where the competing shop's estimate appears to include unsafe or non-compliant repair methods, where the estimate cannot be verified as legitimate, where the customer has already initiated repairs at another shop, or where the estimate falls outside what we consider a good-faith competing offer.

OEM Parts Promise

The promise: OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts are our default on every repair.

What's always OEM

  • Structural components (frame rails, pillars, roof rails, subframes)
  • Safety restraints (airbags, seatbelts, pretensioners)
  • ADAS-integrated parts (bumper covers with radar mounts, mirrors with blind-spot monitors, cameras, sensors)
  • Any part on a vehicle still under the manufacturer's original warranty

When we may use non-OEM parts

  • If your insurance refuses OEM after supplement negotiation, and you decline to pay the difference out of pocket. We will always tell you the difference before substituting — you'll never find out after the fact.
  • If the OEM part is discontinued, unavailable, or backordered beyond 60 days and you need the vehicle repaired sooner.
  • On minor cosmetic components (interior trim, non-sensor mirror housings) where you've specifically approved aftermarket for cost savings.

Your right to OEM

You can always choose to pay the difference between what insurance approves and the OEM cost. We'll never substitute without your consent.

Loaner Car Coordination

The promise: We coordinate rental car logistics with your insurance and rental provider at no fee to you.

What our coordination includes

  • Communicating with your insurance adjuster to authorize rental coverage
  • Booking the rental with Enterprise, Hertz, or your preferred provider
  • Coordinating pickup at our shop when you drop off the vehicle
  • Scheduling return when your repair is complete
  • Filing extension requests with your insurer if shop-caused or supplement-caused delays push your repair past the rental cap

What's not included in our coordination

  • The cost of the rental itself (paid by your insurance rental coverage, if you have it, or by you)
  • Class upgrades above what your policy covers
  • Fuel, tolls, rental company insurance offers, or any add-ons from the rental provider
  • Days outside your rental coverage cap that aren't caused by shop or insurer delays

If you don't have rental coverage on your policy

  • On a case-by-case basis we may have a limited number of shop loaners available for customers without rental coverage; ask at intake.
  • For minor repairs under a week, we can suggest transit, rideshare, or family-coordinated alternatives rather than paid rentals.
  • We do not guarantee a loaner vehicle or a rental at shop cost.

Limitations

  • Loaner or rental coordination is available during the active repair period only. It does not cover delays outside repair work (e.g., awaiting insurance authorization before intake).
  • Rental providers have their own age, license, and credit card requirements that are outside our control.

Changes

We may update these Offer Terms at any time by posting a revised version here. The offer in effect at the time you present a competing estimate, authorize a repair, or request rental coordination is the one that governs your transaction.
